I just finished a brand new music video for my old pals Dr. Dog on ANTI Records. The video, which premiered on Stereogum, features the regulars from the Tuesday night “Adult Skate” Session at Holiday Skating Center in NJ. I’ll be Portland, OR for a new performance project with musician and good friend, Tender Forever (aka Melanie Valera) for the TBA Festival. This will be our second project together and I’m psyched about it! Nick Lally will be back on the team again too which is another cause for psyched-ness! My good friend Adrian “Q” Quintero will be screening his documentary, “Pink on a Man” at the PIFVA Cinema Speakeasy. I’ll be there conducting a Q&A with him after the film and some of my work will open the show.

To promote their new car, The Fiesta, the Ford motor company launched a nationwide campaign involving events in different cities. One of the projects was to give a budget to filmmakers in different areas to make a short film on whatever they want provided it involve the location and somehow shows the car. I made a short documentary about the amazingly talented Philadelphia photographer Zoe Strauss.
The film is playing at the Riverview Theater in Philadelphia on Thursday June 3rd in front of Iron Man 2. The event is FREE if you RSVP ahead of time.
The “FINGERED” DVD Zine series just came out with issue #6. This issue is focused on art and music from Philadelphia. They put one of my videos on the DVD along with work from a bunch of pals. The DVD’s are FREE!!!! GO TO THE RELEASE PARTY!!

The Food Network is starting a new channel called, “The Cooking Channel”. I developed what is now one and could maybe possibly become several new spots for them with the folks at Big Smack. Ish Klein is the tomato and the costume and set were mastermined by Carrie Collins with many of the set-pieces also originating from the brain of Jason Hsu.

Just got back from a whirlwind two weeks in NY and Atlanta.
The great Roy Miranda curated a new installment of his “Fuss Free” series at Shadow Space Gallery. The opening was March 5th and I presented a collaboration installation project with Carrie Collins called, “Makin’ It.” The installation consisted of a found footage video I made with stars from the 80’s and 90’s talking about fame and how famous they hope to be in the future. The video was shown on three monitors simultaneously in a room constructed by Carrie. The room had clear vinyl walls and was filled with hundreds of helium balloons in a kind of an upside-down-ball-pit. The show is up until April 30th and features work from some of my favorite Philly artists including: Thom Lessner, Jayson Musson, Hawk Krall, Matthew Kucynski, Joel Flood, Linda Smyth, Don Vincent Ortega, Adam Wallacavage, Christopher Luxton, Martha Rich, Matthew Michalak, and Dave Delaney.
